Insurance based practices are necessarily reactionary as insurance prioritizes treating illness rather than preventing it. Care is often limited in scope, fragmented and lacks continuity.

Membership based medicine is a care model over 100 years old designed to deliver services well beyond what any insurance plan covers.

Enhanced Internal Medicine aims to promote health and wellness while at the same time managing health conditions as they arise. We charge a transparent annual membership fee for which patients receive comprehensive evaluations, follow-up exams and ongoing communication with Dr. Paluga throughout the year designed to optimize health.

This model is best suited for individuals who value a true partnership with their physician. It’s designed for those who want care that goes beyond the basics — comprehensive, connected, and focused on long-term wellness.

Our practice remains in-network with Medicare and most commercial insurances and may on occasion deliver insurance-covered care when appropriate. However, most of our interactions are entirely outside of and well beyond what plans cover.  

Insurance is billed for in-house labs and vaccines.

Membership fees cannot be submitted to insurances for reimbursement.

Many patients can use HSA or HRA/FSA or MSA funds towards membership fee. We recommend discussing further with your plan coordinator and/or tax expert.
